报告人简介  

范红金,新加坡南洋理工大学,教授。1999年吉林大学物理系获学士学位,2003年新加坡国立大学物理系获博士学位,其后分别在德国马普研究所和英国剑桥大学从事博士后研究,2008年加入南洋理工大学任教至今。主要研究领域包括纳米材料在能源中的应用,包括储能电池材料,和太阳能材料,纳米异质结的合成,表征,和界面物理现象。在Nature MaterialsNature CommunicationsScience AdvancesAdvanced MaterialsEnergy Environmental Science等国际期刊发表论文190余篇,引用近2万次,其中43篇为“ESI高引论文H因子为66。目前为Advanced Mater Interface, Advanced Science, Advanced Materials,Technology Nanotechnology的编委和Materials ResearchBulletin的副编辑。此外,还多次参与组织美国MRS,新加坡ICMAT,中国纳米与能源青年论坛等会议。好写字但未临帖,喜唱歌然不识谱,惯写诗皆为打油。“如风岁月,似水流年。半生心事,一壶江山”。  

报告摘要:    

The performance of electrochemical energy storagedevices relies largely on a scrupulous design of nanoarchitectures and smarthybridization of active materials. Nanoarray electrodes are particularlyinvestigated for power source in microelectronics, which requires high rates,high areal capacity/capacitance and long cycle stability. When the metal-ionbattery electrode materials are designed into nanostructures (e.g., 1D array,2D nanosheets), the pseudocapacitive effect may become dominating and can boostthe high-rate performance. Our group has been actively working on nanoarraymaterials directly on conductive substrates as electrodes of metal-ion battery.In this talk, I will articulate our material design strategies and how theextrinsic pseudocapacitance effect contributes to the high-rate performance ofa few types of 2D materials (VO2, SnS, MoSeS, NVOPF). This effectapplies to intercalation, conversion, as well as alloy type electrodes. Fullhybrid batteries (or called Li-ion or Na-ion capacitors) will also be presentedbased on such subtle designed electrodes.
