闫兵教授,长江学者,山东大学特聘教授,化学与化工学院博士生导师,现从事纳米材料化学生物学和纳米毒理学的研究。1982年毕业于山东大学化学系获学士学位,1990年获美国哥伦比亚大学化学系博士学位。1990年至1993年先后在英国剑桥大学生理学系和美国德克萨斯大学医学院微生物和分子基因系从事博士后研究工作。1993年至2004年期间先后就职于制药公司Novartis、DPI和Bristol-Myers Squibb。任Elsevier's "Ecotoxicology and Environmental Safety"副主编,"Nano Impact"副主编,和"International Journal of Molecular Sciences"的"Material Sciences and Nanotechnology"section editor和"Current Pharmaceutical Design"编委。1999至2011年任美国化学会"ACS Combinatorial Science (曾用名Journal of Combinatorial Chemistry)"编委和副主编,曾担任"Current Medicinal Chemistry","Current Pharmceutical Design","Molecula Diversity", " Combinatorial Chemistry and High-Throughput Screening"和"International Journal of Molecular Sciences"特邀专刊主编。

早期研究人类视觉信号的分子机理,以光敏感微生物为模型发现了配体异构化以及引起蛋白构象变化对于视觉传导的必要性,发现了细胞受体传导视觉信号的活性构象,并在动物模型中证明了小分子配体缺少是造成幼鼠视觉敏感度下降的唯一原因。这些重要发现于1991年相继发表在Nature 和 Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A.等杂志上。随后在组合化学高通量固相合成、纯化和分析及用于早期药物开发的高通量筛选领域的研究作出了突出贡献,其成果概括于他发表在Accounts in Chemical Research和Current Opinion in Chemical Biology的两篇综述中。自2005年以来的研究中首创了纳米材料组合化学系统研究方法,并应用这种方法进行纳米药物和纳米毒理的开拓性研究。前期结果已在 Nature Nanotechnology, Chemical Reviews, Chemical Society Review, 三篇 J. Am. Chem. Soc. 论文, 三篇Nano Letters论文和三篇ACS Nano等论文中报道。


闫兵教授撰写或编辑英文专著11部,在Nature, Nature Nanotechnology, Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A., Chem. Rev., Chem. Soc. Rev., J. Am. Chem. Soc., Angew. Chem., Curr. Opin. Chem. Biol., Acc. Chem. Res., Nano Letters, ACS Nano等杂志上发表论文213篇,发表论文被引用5500多次,H-index 41。

课题组现有25人,由硕士及博士研究生、博士后、讲师、副教授和教授组成。利用团队协同攻关、与国内外学者合作和学科交叉的优势,我们致力于纳米材料和化学小分子在体内、体外的化学生物学研究。研究成果将有助于人类对纳米毒理和纳米材料安全性的认知与调控,以及新型抗癌药物和纳米药物的研发。毕业生去向包括在国内外大学及研究所从事科学研究和教学工作,以及在药物研发和生物科技公司以及商检、质检、药监、环保等企事业单位任职。
